Nisha Samra selected for FACP ProgramJuly 16, 2021Recent 5th year women’s soccer alumnae, Nisha Samra, has been selected to participate in the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association Female Apprentice Program. A member of the 2016 CCAA National Championship Bronze medal team and two PACWEST Conference Championship Gold medal teams in 2015 & 2017, Samra will make the transition from athlete to coach on the men’s soccer sidelines, guided by coach Toor.

Royals lead conference heading into last 2 gamesOctober 20, 2021On Sunday, the Royals women proved once again that they are strong contenders for the PACWEST title this season after a commanding 5-3 win over the Blues, breaking Capilano’s undefeated streak to hand them their first loss of the season. The win improves Douglas’ record to 5-1-1 and places them at first in the conference with a total of 16 points and 2 games left to play in the regular season.

On Saturday October 30th, the Royals women will take on the VIU Mariners in the 2021-22 PACWEST championships semi-final to determine who will get the chance to play for the banner, as the Capilano Blues await to face the winner in the finals.

Hannah dela Cruz is a CCAA TorchbearerApril 19, 2022Knowing the positive impact that sport can have regardless of ability, Hannah dela Cruz initiated a partnership based on a shared love for soccer. For developing a collaboration between her varsity team and the local Special Olympics program, dela Cruz is a 2021-22 recipient of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Torchbearer Scholarship presented by Hudl.
