Position: Forward

Why did you choose Douglas College: Douglas' programs seemed to treat their teams as a family. Douglas offers the opportunity to grow in athletics and also academics.
What are your goals for next year: Continue to develop skills, know my role and find my place on the team.

CJ Dacanay

Position: Shooting Guard
Height: 5'8
High School: Fraser Heights
Hometown: Surrey, BC
What are your goals for next year: My goal is to win with my team, and continue to work hard on and off the court.

Kaleianuenue Cates

Position: Power Forward/ Guard
Height: 5'9
High School: Nanakuli High & Intermediate Highschool
Hometown: Nanakuli, HI
Why did you choose Douglas College: I specifically chose Douglas College because of the program I want to major in. Also the coaching staff, and girls on the team gave me this very welcoming feeling that I would be wanted here at Douglas, feeling like you belong or wanted somewhere is important to me.
What are your goals for next year: My goals for next season is to become better then I was, yet constantly improving in my game mentally and physically but not only on the court, but also in the classroom. I will also like to be a major contributor to my team wether its on the court or cheering them on.

Kari Stam

Position: Guard

Hometown: Langley, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: I chose Douglas because they had the program that I wanted to study. They also looked like they had a great basketball team to be a part of.
What are your goals for next year: My goals for next season are to learn as much about basketball as I can and to develop as a player. My goal is to become a part of the team and to help my team succeed on and off the court.

Kristy Jade Innes

Position: Guard

High School: Nanaimo District Secondary
Hometown: Prince Rupert, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: I've had my eyes set on playing college ball at Douglas since I decided that i wanted to play at a higher level. I also know so many women who I look up to that played at Douglas and had great experiences.
What are your goals for next year: To become a reliable, hard working teammate and student.
Three words to describe you: Dedicated, confident, strong.

Laini Glover

Position: Forward/ Centre
Height: 5'11
High School: Burnaby South Secondary
Hometown: Burnaby, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: I chose Douglas College because the basketball program is really welcoming and there are so many incredible resources available to athletes. Also, I feel like the Sport Science program is a good fit for me, while also being economically feasible.
What are your goals for next year: My goal for next season is for Covid-19 to ease off so we can start playing as soon as possible. Next season I hope to contribute to the team as much as I can and adjust to playing post-secondary.
Three words to describe you: I would describe myself as friendly, nice, and easy-going.

Why did you choose Douglas College: I really liked the programs offered as well as it seems like a good opportunity for me as a player and student to excel as being a student athlete.
What are your goals for next year: To improve myself as a player and to make new friendships, have fun and win!

What are your goals for next year: To improve my skills and work as hard as possible at my game while also excelling at school.

Why did you choose Douglas College: I Chose Douglas because of community environment and the welcoming feeling Douglas coaching staff gave me. I appreciate the opportunity to develop & play in the PACWEST league. I’m excited to finally be apart of the Royals family!
What are your goals for next year: Next season I hope to find my place on the team, build friendships, and work hard to improve my skills.

What are your goals for next year: My goals for next season are to be a stronger basketball player and a good teammate.
