The newest student athletes are decorated champions at the local, provincial and national level including the 5 Coastal FC players who were 2018 National Club Champions. Madison Martin

Coach's Thoughts: Maddy is a very technical player with a very high soccer IQ. As a result, she is very versatile and can play in multiple positions. She brings strong character and an excellent work rate to the Douglas College program.
What are your goals for next season: My goals for next season are to positively contribute to the team both on and off the field and to learn from my teammates and grow as a soccer player and person.

Elisha Machado

Coach's Thoughts:Elisha is a technical goalkeeper with excellent hands and footwork. She is courageous and has a great work ethic. She is also comfortable with the ball at her feet and will be able to help us play out of the back.

Sarah Burns

Coach's Thoughts: Sarah is a smart and strong central defender. She is excellent in the air and even better with the ball at her feet. She is comfortable playing the ball out of the back and will help us in all phases of play.
How do you feel about joining the Royals?: I'm excited to play at a high level of soccer during my schooling and get the opportunity to continue playing with some of my current teammates.

Lauren Muter

Coach's Thoughts: Lauren is a very thoughtful and technical fullback. She can play on either side and is strong with and without the ball. She has added an element of physicality since her CSA National Championship triumph and I look forward to seeing her continue to develop in our program.
What are your goals for next season?: My goals for next season are to really push myself outside of my comfort zone, and to further grow as a player. I want to try new things, expand my skill set, and ultimately impact the team in a positive way.

 

Alicia Skirzyk

Coach's Thoughts: Alicia is a technical and powerful forward. She is very calm and composed on the ball and even more so in front of goal. We expect that she will be able to create and finish a lot of chances for us in the years to come.

Coach's Thoughts: Gracie is a dangerous forward with a love for scoring goals. She is someone who enjoys taking on opponents in the final third and creating problems for their back line. She has already demonstrated her ability to score against PACWEST opponents and we look forward to that continuing.
How do you feel about joining the Royals?: I am very excited to join and can't wait to be apart of a positive atmosphere

 

Olivia Ortiz

Coach's Thoughts: Olivia is a smart and technical midfielder. She is someone who can find and exploit pockets of space. She is good at linking up with her the forwards and enjoys joining in on the attack.
What are your goals for next season?: My goals are too make new friends and continue develop as a soccer player in a new environment

 

Tess Venables

Coach's Thoughts: Tess is a strong and athletic goalkeeper. She is explosive when diving and is brave in 1v1 situations. We are looking forward to seeing how she continues to develop at Douglas.

Coach's Thoughts: Rachel is a powerful and determined player. She has a great attacking mindset - with a nose for goal and the ability to play the final pass in the final third. She is also a strong defender, especially closer to the opponent?s goal.
What are your goals for next season?: My goals for next season are to work my butt off in both practices and games allowing me to gain new knowledge about the game, and to be a key contributor to the team!

 

Izabella Bryant

Sophie Irvine

Coach's Thoughts: Sophie is a hard-working and fearless defensive player. She is comfortable on the ball, aggressive and an excellent tackler. She can play as a centre back or in the midfield

Isabella Silva

Coach's Thoughts: Isabella is a determined player with great character. She has excellent pace, likes to take players on and finds dangerous scoring positions. She plays wing or forward.
What are your goals for next season?: To work hard and improve myself mentally and physically.

Coach's Thoughts: Taylor is a classic #9. She likes to play with her back to goal, as well as cause problems in the attacking 18 yard box. She defends well from the front and makes life difficult for teams playing out of the back.
How do you feel about joining the Royals?: I am so excited to start the next chapter of my life and have a group of teammates to experience it with.
