The Douglas College Women's Basketball program is excited to announce two new recruits for the 2024-25 season, Lauren Clements (left) and Alynah Solano (right).

Lauren Clements

Position: Guard/Forward
Height: 5'8"
High School: Terry Fox Secondary
Previous Club Team: Excel Basketball
Hometown: Port Coquitlam, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: "They have a very strong and dedicated Women's basketball team with very nice girls and coaches and Douglas also has a very Educated Environmental Studies program".
Coach Steve Beauchamp's Thoughts: "We are extremely excited about the versatility, dynamic scoring, and defensive toughness Lauren brings. Her ability to create not only for herself but also for her teammates will offer the coaches many options. We expect Lauren's style of play at both ends of the court to be an instant fan favourite."

Alynah Solano

 Position: Guard/Forward
 Height: 5'5"
 High School: Holy Cross Regional High School
 Previous Club Team: Excel Basketball
 Hometown: Surrey, BC
 Why did you choose Douglas College: "I chose Douglas College because it really fit my academic plans for the future. Getting to play for Coach Steve   after knowing him for quite some time is exciting and I cannot wait for the upcoming season!"
 Coach Steve Beauchamp's Thoughts: "Alynah impressed us with her athleticism, competitive drive, and ability to finish at the hoop. She has the   potential to make an immediate contribution at the point guard and off-guard positions."
