The Douglas College Royals Men's Volleyball team are PACWEST champions, defeating the College of the Rockies Avalanche in four sets at the 2024-25 PACWEST Volleyball Championships.
The Royals won the first set by a close score of 26-24 before COTR tied it up by winning the second set 25-20.
It was all Douglas College from there on out, as the Royals dominated the third set 25-14 before winning the fourth and final set 25-21 on a kill from Marvin Tumusiime.
For his efforts all tournament long, Tumusiime was named tournament MVP. Lucas Sansone, who had multiple big blocks in the match, was named Player of the Match for Douglas.
Elijah Kim and Niko Robbles were named PACWEST Tournament All-Stars. The Royals will advance to the CCAA National Championship hosted by Providence University College in Manitoba from March 5th-9th. The Royals first game will be on March 5th at a time to be determined.
