Douglas College Women's Basketball Announces Two More Additions to 2024-25 Recruiting Class

 

The Douglas College Women's Basketball program is excited to announce Denise Mendoza (left) and Mazy Wandzura (right) as new recruits for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Denise Mendoza

Position: Guard
Height: 5'9"
High School: Charles Best Secondary
Previous Club Team: Excel Basketball
Hometown: Coquitlam, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: "I chose Douglas College because I like the playing style and intensity. I also think Coach Steve can push me to my full potential. Douglas College also aligned with my academic plans and goals for the future!"
Coach Steve Beauchamp’s Thoughts: “Denise impressed us with her offensive versatility, basketball IQ, and ability to defend. We are excited about the options she gives us and look forward to her making an immediate impact.”

Mazy Wandzura

Position: Guard
Height: 5'9"
High School: Pacific Academy
Previous Club Team: Excel Basketball
Hometown: Surrey, BC
Why did you choose Douglas College: "I chose Douglas College because of its good reputation and good team culture. The coach is great, and Douglas is close to home. They offer a full degree that I need for occupational therapy."
