Douglas College Athletics have named Braden Persian as the Head Coach of the Royals Baseball program. The Surrey resident, and former Assistant Coach with the University of Calgary's Dino Baseball program, Coach Persian is familiar with Douglas College Baseball, the NWAC and the grassroot baseball community in British Columbia.

"It's truly an honour to be given the opportunity to lead this program. I am excited to develop student athletes, and foster an environment for academic and athletic excellence with the Royals Baseball program." Said Coach Persian.

Braden's coaching experience with community grassroots programs in Abbotsford (Cardinals), and White Rock (Tritons), his coaching administration experience as a Manager of the Power Summer Collegiate League (Palm Springs, CA), and a large recruiting network through his work as the College Advisor with SportsForce Baseball (San Diego, CA), demonstrate the operational competencies which are pertinent for the Royals Baseball program moving forward.

"Douglas College Athletics is looking forward to working with Coach Persian to build the Royals Baseball program. The focus for program will be student-athlete development through academics and athletic excellence to create university transfer opportunities for Royals Baseball players." said Brian McLennon, Director, Athletics and Recreation.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Persian to the Royals family. He will assume his official responsibilities as of August 1.
