The Douglas College Royals put up a valiant effort but, in the end, lost on penalty kicks to the Capilano Blues at the 2024 PACWEST soccer championships.

Douglas opened the scoring in the 20th minute thanks to PACWEST All-Star Isabelle Dobbin. However, Capilano tied it up right at the death in the 90th minute with a shot that just went over the outstretched hand of Vanessa Chung.

The 30 minutes of extra time decided nothing, so the game went to penalty kicks. Mia Jenkinson's first penalty went in, but the other two afterwards were saved resulting in a 3-2 victory for Capilano.

Dobbin was named Player of the Game for Douglas College.
