The Douglas College Men’s Golf team posted their best result in recent memory this past weekend at the PACWEST VIU Invitational, finishing second, just two strokes shy of a first-place finish to Camosun College. Fifth year golfer, Travis LeClair lead the team, shooting a two-day total of 147, good for 1st place overall in the individual standings. Close behind was 5th year veteran teammate, Josh Legge, whose two-day total of 153 secured him a top three finish.
The Douglas College Royals men's golf team is heating up at the right time, with the PACWEST Golf Championship right around the corner and a spot in the CCAA National Championship on the line.
After bursting onto the PACWEST scene with a 5th-place individual finish at the Langara tournament, first-year Royal Dustin Franko has his sights set on a fantastic rookie year, starting with the UBCO tournament in Kelowna.
The opening tournament want quite the start the Royals were hoping for, but a strong showing from rookie Dustin Franco serves as inspiration for a solid 2018 PACWEST season.
