Dalibor Plavsic

Dalibor Plavsic is heading into his first year as Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer program at Douglas College. Previous to his role with Douglas College, Dalibor has worked within the local BCSPL environment with Coquitlam Metro-Ford, Vancouver Whitecaps Academy & the Canadian Men’s & Women’s National Teams.

In total, Dalibor has over ten years of coaching experience. Since his initial start in coaching in 2009, he has continued to grow within the game and achieved several accolades amongst his team working in elite environments.

Dalibor’s credentials go to show his dedication and love for the game. He boasts a Canadian Soccer Association ‘B’ National Certified Coaching license, a UEFA B License through the Football Association of Wales, and a dual Bachelor’s degree in both Kinesiology and Education. Plavsic’s coaching philosophy revolves around team unity and commitment through the lens of transformational leadership. Dalibor views success as the product of continued personal development and dedication by all members of a team (both coaches and players).

Born in Waldbrol, Germany, Dalibor Plavsic is the youngest of two. He currently resides in Langley with his girlfriend Jennifer.

Dalibor’s favourite quote comes from NBA Head Coach Steve Kerr — "You actually will come across stronger to the people you’re leading if you show that you don’t have all the answers. As long as they know you’re putting in the work, that you know what you’re talking about. Because what we’re doing is more art than science."
