The Blues scored a pair of first half goals to clinch second place in the PACWEST standings and will face these very same Royals in the semi-final this coming Saturday.

In the ninth minute Aynsley Hurtado scored the eventual game winner on a pass from Jacqueline Reinhard. They would ice it in the 14th minute when Alanah Dulong scored as Julia Peyton picked up an assist.

From there keeper Megan Thitchener needed just one save for the shutout.

Looking at the Royals roster they decided to sit some of their offensive weapons in hopes of getting them ready for this coming weekend's PACWEST championship tournament.

The Blues and Royals will square off again with the winner meeting the VIU Mariners in the PACWESET gold medal game.
