The Douglas College Royals men’s and women’s basketball teams wrapped up their regular season’s with respective back to back home wins against the Camouson Chargers.
Last Saturday, the Douglas College Royals men’s and women’s basketball hosted the Capilano University Blues in a rematch from Friday nights road tilt which saw the women fall 68-55 and the men snatch a victory 76-70, playing spoilers to the Blues home crowd.
Saturday nights affair would eventually end in the same result for the women, falling short 57-54. On the men’s side, a combined 41 points from guards Courtney Anderson and Josiah Mastandrea (who had a season high 20 points) helped the men defeat Capilano 86-71 to take their 10th win of the season.
The Douglas College Royals men’s and women’s basketball team faced the Vancouver Island Mariners last week in back to back home games over the weekend, with the women falling short on both matchups and the men’s undefeated streak being snapped as they split both games with VIU.
The Douglas College Royals women’s basketball team won their fifth straight game last Friday defeating the Capilano University Blues 73-66 in a close matchup that ended in overtime.
