Morrison Collects Four Hits As DC Royals Defeats Skagit Valley

Emily Morrison gave Skagit Valley fits, as she bagged four hits in DC Royals's 11-3 victory on Thursday. Morrison singled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fifth, and singled in the sixth.
 
DC Royals earned the victory despite allowing Skagit Valley to score three runs in the fifth inning. #27 and #10 all drove in runs in the frame.
DC Royals fired up the offense in the first inning, when Cassa Courtney singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
 
DC Royals put up five runs in the sixth inning. Shelby Kwak, Lindsey Cowdell, Natasha Bedard, Morrison, and Kimberly Anderson all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
Jessica Fasolino pitched DC Royals to victory. She surrendered three runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out three. Jessica Podskalny threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Podskalny recorded the last five outs to earn the save for DC Royals.
 
DC Royals totaled 18 hits. Morrison, Courtney, Cowdell, Rachel Warburton, and Bedard each racked up multiple hits for DC Royals. Morrison led DC Royals with four hits in four at bats.
 
Skagit Valley didn't commit a single error in the field. #32 had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
