DC Royals Overcomes Bellevue College In Face Of Early 3-Run Inning

DC Royals weathered a push by Bellevue College in the fifth inning where DC Royals coughed up three runs, but DC Royals still won 11-3 on Sunday. Bellevue College scored its runs on a home run by Justi Johnson.
 
DC Royals opened up scoring in the first inning, when Cassa Courtney was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
 
DC Royals tallied five runs in the third inning. DC Royals's big bats in the inning were led by an error on a ball put in play by Keyanna Olsen and Janessa Hanson, a single by Hannah Menard, a groundout by McKinlee Kaulbach, and a double by Rachel Warburton.
 
Jessica Podskalny led the DC Royals to victory on the pitcher's mound. She went four and a third innings, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out five and walking zero. Jessica Fasolino threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
 
DC Royals racked up 11 hits in the game. Warburton, Menard, and Kimberly Anderson all managed multiple hits for DC Royals. Warburton went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead DC Royals in hits.
