Royals Edge Out Warriors in Tight Game

It was a tight knit affair in the NWAC Softball Championship semi-finals as the Royals took on the Walla Walla Community College Warriors. The pitchers were the stars of the show in this game, but the defense on both sides was spectacular. It took six and a half innings for anything to happen. Patient on her swing, Kolby Hamilton forced the pitcher to walk her. The speedy Royal proceeded to steal second base, and a groundball from Daniella Vilio allowed her to take third. From there, it was Captain Jordan Britten-Yung's job to bring her home, and she did exactly that. A single brought Hamilton racing across home base and gave the Royals the lead. Keeley Ainge pitched a perfect seventh inning to give the Royals the win. Ainge put together a three hit shutout, in her second shutout of the tournament
