Thriller Against Clackamas Results in Win

In the quarterfinals of the NWAC Softball Championships, the Royals faced a tough challenge in the form of Clackamas Community College, the 4th seed in the tournament. It was the toughest battle for Royals yet, with Clackamas coming at them from every angle. The Royals kept Clackamas off the board until the fourth inning where they exploded for four runs. The Royals would tie the next inning, but Clackamas kept coming. Adding three runs to the scoreboard in the sixth, the Royals needed three of their own to tie at the top of the seventh. They would do more than that, adding four to take the lead, courtesy of a hit from Natasha Bedard. With a one run lead, Keeley Ainge would get called upon to close the game out. The All-American pulled out all the stops for her team, and the Royals pulled out a 8-7 win over Clackamas CC
