After a scoreless and relatively quiet first half the Royals would finally get on the board in the 62nd minute when Behrad Hajimohammadi broke the tie. His first goal of the season would turn out to be the game winner.
In the 72nd minute, rookie Milton Castro from Burnaby notched his first of the season giving the Royals some insurance.
Keeper Matthew Miller didn't need to do much making two saves in his bid for a shutout.
